At the end of this book, "Can't Get There From Here" Maybe loses all of her street friends, because the either died, or found out they have a family and moved back home, and Maybe was the last one left. The book, "Can't Get There From Here" by Todd Strasser is about a group of street kids who either left their family, their family made them leave or they don't know who their family is. Maybe the main character helps her friend tears go back to her family. The theme of this book is You can't trust your true family always.
To begin, one of maybes moms friends said oh i am fine when she was still addicted to drugs.Rainbow ended up living with foster parents since her mom was addicted to drugs. Rainbows mom replaced Rainbow with drugs. This was so upsetting to Rainbow that Rainbow committed suicide.This shows why you can't trust family. Rainbows mom started taking drugs to make herself happy. Then Rainbows dad divorced Rainbows mom.Rainbows mom gets addicted to drugs. They put Rainbow in foster care for awhile up until Rainbows mom got a hold of herself. Rainbows mom said I am fine now, so Rainbow returns to her mother. Her mom didn't get a hold of herself so Rainbow had to live with foster parents because her mom replaced rainbow with drugs. Rainbow was so upset she committed suicide. Therefore, Rainbow could not trust her family.
To continue, 2moro, one of Maybes friends had many problems also. 2moros mom died when 2moro was 2. Her grandma and aunt took care of 2moro. Her aunts boyfriend touched 2moro in inappropriate sexual places. when 2moro tried to tell her aunt and grandma they said she was lying. This kept on happening so she ran away. This shows you can not trust your family. 2moro had a mom who died and her dad was unknown. Then her grandma and aunt took care of 2moro. They did not really love her. when they left. they left her alone with her aunts boyfriend, who always touched 2moro in inappropriate sexual places. This disturbed 2moro. When her grandma and aunt were there and he was not she told them. They said she was lying. She ran away. Therefore you can't trust family.

i have never read this book before but i think you did a nice job summarizing it. i know what you talking about. you have really good transitions. you have a really good conclusion too. i like each example you used. Great job!
